Who We Are
Dogo Argentino Sanctuary
**Our Mission**
At DAS Plus, our commitment lies in enhancing community welfare through the dedicated rescue and rehabilitation of dogs in need. We adhere to stringent standards of care and comprehensive vetting procedures to guarantee that every animal is placed in a secure and permanent home.
**Health and Safety Protocols**
Each rescued animal undergoes an extensive medical intake procedure prior to becoming available for adoption. This process encompasses: - Full clinical examinations - De-worming treatments - Initial vaccinations.
**Applicant Screening**
To safeguard our animals and ensure the appropriateness of prospective owners, we implement a meticulous multi-step vetting procedure: - Virtual Home Consultations: Assessment of the living environment. - Identity Verification: Collection of government-issued identification. - Background Checks: Conducting surface-level screenings to confirm a positive history in animal care.
**Behavioral Assessment**
Our distinctive household environment provides a controlled setting for advanced behavioral evaluations. By observing interactions between our rescues and a diverse range of individuals—including those with neurodivergent needs—we accurately assess each dog's temperament and composure. Additionally, we facilitate monitored interactions with young children to determine the dog's suitability for family integration. We contend that a successful adoption is achieved through a genuine, reciprocal connection between the dog and the prospective owner.
**Veterinary Partnership**
We take pride in our collaboration with the Animal Clinic of Buena, ensuring all professional medical oversight and healthcare requirements are met with the highest standards.
